What I Have Been Up To

The time just flew and another month is gone, the summer 2012 is almost gone! I’ve been busy at work, so haven’t had any chances to catch up with you here, but finally I made some room in my agenda to tell you what I have been up to.

This summer has been full of knitting and some crochet too, some nice and sunny days also.

Back in July my friends knitters and I went to the Weavers Market in Hoorn, how exciting!, we got a lot of treasuries that you can see at our blog.

Later in August I managed to finish my Clockwork shawl, the KAL that we started back in June at our Stitch ‘n Bitch group.

I finally knitted it with Gatsby and Jawoll Magic Dégradé.

Have also finished a cream and blue hat with a name on it, Javier, and designed two easy patterns, matching baby booties with handles, that might need some testing soon.

In crochet I have made two alien hats for babies, one pink and one green. The pink one has only one eye, I think it is adorable!

I have also designed a new pair of baby booties, have named them Luisa Dancing Baby Booties because was my mum who gave me the idea of this new design. I hope to have some time soon to write the pattern.

Also this summer I’ve become a fan of some knitters and podcasters like Knit Picks, Electric Sheep, Cast-On and The Anatomy of Knitting. I listen to them on my Android phone, so anytime I jump on my bike or have some quiet time knitting I play them on and enjoy the adventures and helpful tips of these fabulous knitters.

After finishing my Clockwork I kind of want to start my first cardigan, I got some nice yarn from Drops, and I’m trying to find the right pattern for it. I need something warm, wearable, simple and kind of turtle neck, not exactly that, but closed on the neck, because I always feel cold on my neck.

So please feel free to share any ideas/suggestions for this new project.

I would love to hear from you!
